Will you take part in Aloha Friday?

Will you take part in Aloha Friday?

The Hawaiian concept of ‘Aloha Fridays’ is the grandaddy of Casual Fridays, where once a year from the mid Sixties businessmen would wear their Hawaiian shirt to work for the day.

London vintage boutique chain Rokit has now created the UK’s very own annual Aloha Friday with the tropical mission to brighten up our offices.

On 23rd August, the Friday before Notting Hill carnival and the last Summer bank holiday weekend in 2013, everyone at Rokit HQ and in their four London stores will lead the way in bringing a taste of the exotic to the work place by wearing their Hawaiian shirts to work.

There will be all sorts of tropical fun happening in-store on the day from Ukulele players and tropical nail art by the Illustrated Nail to Tiki treats and customers can win tickets to London’s new hidden bamboo filled Fifties club.

If you can’t get to one of our stores simply throw a Hawaiian shirt over your tee for the day or wear a flower in your hair to join in the fun and brighten up your shop, studio or office!
