It's a vintage Christmas at Wilton's Music Hall

You won’t find a more festive building than Wilton’s this December! With the mulled wine brewing, the baubles up and the fairy lights twinkling, Wilton’s unique Victorian-derelict-grandeur really comes alive. Cast yourself back to another time and place and celebrate this festive season in style with a whole variety of fundraising events designed to get you moving and smiling.

Enjoy some modern music hall with the Tiny Wallops or get your vintage dresses and spats on for Trad Jazz, Ragtime and Charleston with the New Foxtrot Serenaders. Take a look and discover new music, old music, classical music and music hall, Lindy Hop lessons, magic shows and some classy cabaret!

Join this comedy troupe for an evening of modern music hall. Tiny Wallop and your favourite unquestionables will bring you your very own Christmas! There will be smatterings of song, positively perplexing Christmas time mystery and many moments of mischievous merriment. Expect plenty of mayhem during this rare and wondrous evening.

Friday 9th December
Lindy Hop with the London Swing Cats
Followed by music from DJ Voodoo Doll
Lesson 7:30pm – 8:30pm. Dance 9pm – 11pm
£10 (for lesson and/or entry to the dance afterwards)

Lindy Hop is the granddaddy of all forms of jive and we defy you not to have a great time on this one off dance class and DJ session!

Let the teachers show you how to move as they introduce you to the Hollywood Style. Originally from Los Angeles in the late ‘30s through to ‘50s, this smooth dance (you may know of the Jitterbug) featured in many Hollywood movies of the era. Once you have the hang of it, it’s more than infectious! The lesson will be friendly and relaxed with all abilities welcome.
Includes a special guest appearance from the Hollywood Hoppers.

Thursday 15th December
Wilton’s Magic Show

Featuring a secret special guest and Megan Knowles-Bacon, a bright new magician, Wilton’s last magic show of the year is going to go out with a bang! Katherine Rhodes returns with some of her best-loved tricks plus a few festive surprises.

Thursday 22nd December

The wonderful John Standing, who entertained us so brilliantly with his Noel Coward show in January, is back with a fantastic homage to Cole Porter. This is a one night only event in aid of Wilton’s Capital Appeal and will have you laughing, crying and singing along. Not to be missed!
