Timebox 60s weekender and scooter run

With the Diamond Jubilee celebrations already under way, Londond’s mods will give the Queen their own free celebration salute on their trusty old Vespa and Lambretta steeds. For anyone interested in joining or watching them, meet at 14.00 sharp on Carnaby Street before ending up at Timebox Club for a free all-dayer at the Strongrooms, with entertainment from 3pm–3am, including DJs and live bands plus hot BBQ and scooter competition.

The next night will be at the Hotwax club to take you into the bank holiday Monday, with the debut London performance from young Irish band the Strype plus London-based Flamingo Drive. The DJs take over after the bands with a Pork & Beans special in the Soul Cellar with Jamie Parr, Tomas McGrath, Big John & Giordano expect Tamla Motown/Club Soul/R&B and the hottest Ska & Reggae.  Dr Robert & guests Rhys Webb ( The Horrors) and Philippe Golbert will spin underground Psych, Garage and freakbeat gems in the beat basement until 4am in Venue 2.
