The Slow Drag Blues Dance

The Slow Drag Blues Dance

The Slow Drag Blues Dance brings the sultry atmosphere of a humid New Orleans night back to London.

Located in a lush basement hideaway below Stoke Newington’s premier Art Deco cocktail bar, Fontaine’s, this night gives you the chance to get close with someone you fancy to dance, sway and if the mood takes you, grind away to feverish mid-century rhythms – steamy blues, smoky jazz, sexy soul and sleazy rock’n’roll.

To start the evening, London Swing Dance Society will be running a Blues Dance class from 7:30-8:30pm for £10, which includes entry.

Then, till the wee hours, playing sultry sounds from original 45rpm records, will be a perfect pair of steamy dance song selectors: NTS Radio regular, DJ DIDDY WAH and R&B singing sensation, SISTER COOKIE.
