The classic American diner: Ed’s

The classic American diner: Ed’s

If you fancy eating a burger or drinking a milkshake in a place that looks and feels like a classic retro American diner, head to Ed’s. The chain was founded in 1987 as the first of its kind in the UK.

Decked out the way a classic American diner should be – chrome counter, red leather booths and jukeboxes – Ed’s offers a range of tasty dishes from burgers to cheesy fries, chilli and hot dogs. Vegetarians are catered for too and the milshakes are utterly addictive, do try the banana & peanut butter one. The portion sizes are decent, especially compared to touristy places like TGI Friday’s, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

Whether you are after breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night snack, Ed’s is a great option. They currently have five diners around London in Soho, Euston, the Trocadero and Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres.
