The 20s prohibition tea room: Bourne & Hollingsworth

The 20s prohibition tea room: Bourne & Hollingsworth

Just a short walk off the highstreet mecca of Oxford Circus is Bourne & Hollingsworth, a living room sized tea room and bar that’s like a Tardis trip back into the times of back room drinking during Prohibition times.

The flowery wall paper, twee decor and china tea sets might make you think a cuppa of Earl Grey is the strongest drink in the house but don’t be fooled. The Dirty Martini here is as dirty as it gets.

A real gem of a vintage bar – their programme of regular events is also worth following.
