At the Southbank Centre: A Vintage New Year’s Eve Party

Celebrate the New Year with exclusive access to the Southbank Centre and a vintage-inspired extravaganza of live music, DJs, dance tuition, dining, period cocktails and fireworks.

Southbank Centre will transform into four floors of set-dressed entertainment, including five pop-up vintage nightclubs, stylish dining, a hair and beauty parlour, photo studios and a private terrace overlooking the Thames to view London’s world famous NYE fireworks.

Here’s a taste of what to expect:

The Torch Club
For one night only Royal Festival Hall’s Clore Ballroom will transform into The Torch Club for an evening of the finest 1920s–1940s entertainment featuring authentic swing orchestras, the scene’s premier DJs and expert dance tuition including light-hearted period party dances like the ‘Lambeth Walk’

The Torch Club Dining Rooms: Dine in style
For an extra special New Year’s Eve, you can dine in style with a delicious three-course themed meal without missing any of the entertainment taking place in The Torch Club. Diner and drinks will be served in a reserved seating area, including a dedicated bar.

Let It Rock
The finest 50s rock ‘n’ roll live bands and DJs play bopping rockabilly and shuffling rhythm and blues as expert dance tutors keep the floor moving with jive and stroll lessons.

The Soul Casino
The Soul Casino dance floor reverberates to a string of key innovators playing deep funk to northern, rare groove to classic soul, disco, authentic R&B mod sounds and early house.

The Pick-Up Joint
Outrageous fun, sing-a-longs and unashamed dancing to pop hits that you just shouldn’t love in this 1960s themed bar for singles, couples or groups of friends up for letting their hair down. Glide up to the 4th floor of the Royal Festival Hall in the lift of love and lose your inhibitions.

The Tiki Bar
Create your own eclectic playlist in a ‘one night only’ Tiki Bar, looking out over the River Thames on the 5th floor of Royal Festival Hall.

Vintage Hair and Beauty Salon
The Vintage Salon will provide hair and beauty makeovers to keep you looking and feeling fabulous throughout the night. Decade-specific looks from 1920s to the 1980s, iconic styles and glamorous touch ups will be available from dedicated hair stylists and beauticians.

London’s Famous NYE Fireworks
Shortly before midnight the party moves outside to a terrace overlooking the Thames, where, weather permitting*; you can enjoy THE best view of London’s world-famous New Year’s Eve fireworks away from the crowds.

Vintage Photo Studio and Vintage Photo Booth
Get a portrait taken by the vintage photography specialists in their specially constructed studios or simply get a memento of the night from the vintage photo booth.

And don’t forget… the dress up is just as important as the ‘get down’ so pick a decade and dress glamorous!
