Secret cocktail bar: Happiness Forgets

Secret cocktail bar: Happiness Forgets

Tucked away in the basement of a regular cafe on Hoxton Square, secret bar Happiness Forgets successfully brings a hint of old-school New York speakeasy to London.

The dim lighting and low ceilings certainly lend to the vintage atmosphere but this bar is far from being gimmicky – the drinks menu has a very carefully chosen, small selection of classic and modern cocktails that really impress with their high quality and top ingredients.

The staff here, including the very knowledgeable bar tenders, are wonderfully friendly too, and the complete lack of pretentiousness and – worse – faux Twenties fancy dress is a delight.

This is really setting a very high standard for London speakeasies!

With a very limited number of tables and only a few walk-ins allowed every evening, definitely book in advance. happiness forgets
