Poplar Festival celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain
East London Housing association Poplar HARCA is bringing Poplar Festival to Bartlett Park, E14, on Saturday 17 September to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain and the future of Poplar.
This fun filled festival begins at Chrisp Street Market at 12pm with a vibrant parade led by the fantastic London school of Samba and joined by the local community. Live music will run all day featuring first class bands like Poetic Pilgrimage, The Boxettes (guardian band of the month July), Top Cats, Brassroots and Fat 45.
