One of the last greasy spoons: Gambardella Cafe

One of the last greasy spoons: Gambardella Cafe

With its Thirties meets the Sixties interior, the Gambardella Cafe in Blackheath will make your Formica loving heart beat faster.

Run by the same – Italian – family since the Twenties, this is one of London’s last remaining ‘caffs’, which prides itself with its friendly customer service and, most importantly, decent fry-up.

A joy to eat at, and not just because of the plywood svivelling chairs, this is one of the cheapest and best greasy spoons in London.
