New play: Walking Through Wire
New play Walking Through Wire features Alan Turing’s character on the sixtieth anniversary of his death.
How can you prove your worth to a society that can’t see passed its prejudices? How can you triumph in a conflict where nobody wants you on their side?
Hans, a homosexual detained in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, thinks he can. And in post-war Britain, a scientist who helped end the Second World War, Alan Turing, thinks he can too.
Each has to battle a centuries’ old intolerance that has sharpened the barbs of the wire through which they must pass. But for some there can only ever be one side: Outside.
