London's best assorted peculiarities - tin toy shop My Robot Friends

Robots, religious iconography, pop art and general assorted peculiarities – East London shop My Robot Friend (just off Brick Lane) stocks  London’s most extensive collection of carefully selected weirdness placed against a backbeat of blues, psychedelia and Rock & Roll.

The shop specialises in tin robots ranging from the late Forties to the Seventies as well as tin cars, wind-up animals and a selection of Mexican Dia de los Muertos crafts. Prices are very reasonable too, and the carefully put together shop display is a joy to browse. A delightful little shop – and not just for boys.

Not sure! Next time I’m around there I’ll check. Does anyone else know?

  4. Was just wondering the same thing. Just found this on Facebook and it has to be the same place. Was update in November so good chance they’re still there. But called Robot Shop and not Robot Friends. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brick-Lane-Robot-Shop/124939570883064
