New dance classes: learn how to dance to 60s and 70s soul

Ah just what London has been missing: dance classes for 60s and 70s soul!

Thank goodness for the Vintage Soul Dance Company who are bringing the sounds of Motown, Stax and Atlantic to the capital and are showing us how to dance the Twist, The Mashed Potato and more.

Each monthly Soul Underground Night starts with an  all-levels dance class – you don’t need to have done any dancing before. The class may include a few partnered steps, so you might find it easier if you know a partner dance such as Lindy-Hop, Salsa, Blues or West Coast Swing, but it’s certainly not essential knowledge. After the class, DJ’s will be spinning the best of soul from the Fifties to the Seventies so you can try out your new moves.
