Learn a new hertitage skill at Grandfest

Head to GrandFest a new one day festival celebrating the skills older people possess.

Organised by the Royal Voluntary Service, Grandfest will take over museums, shops, cafes and bars in and around the creative hub of Hoxton with a series of master classes held by talented older people all 70 years and over.

From preserve making to dress-making and home brewing to woodwork workshops, GrandFest offers the opportunity to learn a new skill or brush up on an existing one.

The heart of GrandFest is Hoxton Square, which will play host to range of food and drink stands, a pop up shop and the GrandFest stage, where performers will entertain festival goers. Beyond Hoxton Square the festival will unfold across the whole of Old Street at venues including the Geffrye Museum and Hoxton Trust.
