Join us for a Vintage Style Ride!
Don your vintage finery and join the Vintage Guide To London for a Vintage Style Ride down Exhibition Road as part of the Exhibition Road Show this July.
Dress up in your favourite vintage outfit, be it Thirties tweed or a Seventies maxi dress, hop on your bike and head to Exhibition Road, where vintage-lovers and retro cycle enthusiasts will gather to parade down the street and show off their vintage cycle chic. Yes, the Olympic cycling events are on at the same time, so let’s show everyone that cycle style can be so much more than Lycra leggins.
We’ve teamed up with the amazing Tally Ho! Cycle Tours so that participants can borrow a free vintage Pashley from their fleet– limited numbers available – and in case you are worried road closures will make it tricky for you to find your own way to Exhibition Road, Tally Ho! will be be running a guided ride from their HQ in Waterloo through Kensington to Exhibition Road before the Style Ride.
There are also plenty of Boris Bike docking stations around Exhibition Road and Waterloo.
If you have reserved a bike, Tally Ho! will be getting all their bicycles out and lined up down Lower Marsh on display from 2pm onwards – you can then claim and test ride as you arrive. If there is time we will be grabbing a coffee at Scooter Cafe before we set off at 3pm.
Jack from Tally Ho! road our route today and has never before experienced Londons roads so empty!
We’ll then meet-up with more Style Riders at 4pm at Prince Consort Road ready for our parade down Exhibition Road.
Looking forward to tomorrow rain or shine!
