Join in the floral bicycle parade to celebrate the Festival of Britain
Give your bike some flower power and join in the floral bicycle parade around the Southbank Centre on Sunday, August 28. Decorate your bicycles, helmets, and clothing with flowers and join in the fun! The parade is part of Mayor’s Story of London Festival and recreates the floral bicycle parade that took place in Haringey for the Festival of Britain in 1951.
Cyclists travelling from Haringey are invited to lead the parade from Bruce Castle Museum, starting at 2pm, to the Southbank where they will join other cyclists on a circuit around the Southbank Centre.
Floral Bicycle Parade starts at 4pm at the Southbank Centre Square doors to Royal Festival Hall.
