Three great London shops to buy vintage spex
While there are plenty of retro frames available on the highstreet you might prefer to go for original vintage spex instead. Whether you prefer round Thirties frames, Fifties cats eye glasses or the huge rectangular frames of the Seventies, here are three London vintage shops where you’re guaranteed to find what you’re after.
With three different branches across London, Rokit, is a London vintage establishment. While most of the clothes focus on later vintage decades, Rokit has an excellent selection of vintage accessories including vintage sunglasses and glasses. Expect to find plenty of designer glasses, like these Ralph Lauren frames or more recent Tom Ford glasses.
Just off East London’s Brick Lane you’ll find Blitz. Much like Rokit, the main focus is on trend-lead vintage from the Eighties and Nineties but they do stock a very excellent selection of accessories, including sunnies and vintage spex.
Absolute Vintage has various outlets across London and specialises in vintage accessories like shoes, bags, belts and spex. Head here for classic frames like aviators and Ray Ban.
