Fall in love with the help of The Old Fashioned Dating Company

Today London sees the launch of a new type of dating company, one that promises to go back in time. The Old Fashioned Dating Company is an events company creating “pre-matched, pre-show events for cool modern people with old-fashioned values.”

At the Old Fashioned Dating launch event tonight old fashioned daters will receive a sealed dating card which will contain their dating selection for the evening. Each date will be at a different table and has been matched by a person not a machine, based on a questionnaire completed on booking.

Old Fashioned Dating will look after the post-event matchmaking, letting daters know who has a mutual liking so people can pursue their positive meetings and see where they lead.

After the dating round, you then have a chance to watch burlesque-cum-theatre show Burlexe.

Swing back to the passion of the Forties – relive the spirit of the Blitz and raise money for the RNRMC. This Forties night features live entertainment and a set from the incredible Still Moving DJs.

The night is being held in aid of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, so you can have a good old knees-up and help raise funds whilst you do.

Full dress code is mandatory though there will be some opportunities to doll yourself up once there. Please no ‘poor taste’ costumes.

Hammer: classic and cutting edge horror season at the Flickr Club

The Flickr Club is resurrecting bloody classics like The Reptile, Frankenstein Created Woman and The Vampire Lovers and bringing them face to face with their 21st century counterparts: Wake Wood, Let Me In and the eagerly awaited The Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Hammer has been the champion of Gothic literature for decades with their magnificent adaptations of novels such as ‘Dracula’ and Frankenstein’ and now, resurrected and reinvigorated, they keep that tradition alive with the marvelous Let Me In and The Woman in Black.
