Explore the traditions of whisky at The Whisky Den pop-up

Opening to the public on Monday 9 May for a total of four weeks, The Whisky Den is a continually evolving handcrafted bar and exhibition space. Visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to witness rare crafts in motion and to sample The Balvenie, in turn learning how the five rare crafts retained at The Balvenie distillery contribute to its honeyed sweet taste.

Once inside, guests will be able to navigate their way from room to room, as if they were inside a giant whisky Tun. There will also be unusual features, including seats which ‘grow’ out of the walls and indoor fields of barley, with  each space offering a unique character and charm, reflective of the individual characteristics of each whisky in The Balvenie range.

Rare single cask bottlings and deconstructions of selected whiskies are available for visitors to nose, taste and discuss with The Balvenie’s UK Ambassador, Dr. Andrew Forrester.

A series of tutored whisky tastings will also take place every Saturday, designed to teach whisky explorers the techniques of nosing and tasting whisky as well as giving enthusiasts an insight into what makes The Balvenie so special as the most handcrafted Single Malt.
