Enjoy a cuppa at Steatham’s Earl Grey & Rose

Vintage-themed cafe Earl Grey & Rose is a welcome, colourful sight just off Streatham’s uninspiring High Street. Decked out in bright bunting and with vintage china lining the walls, the cafe feels warm and welcome, although the ubiquitous ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ signs and Cath Kidston-esque flair won’t please those after an authentic vintage feel.

With its crafty touches – handmade items like cards and jewellery are lined up for sale and you can even pay per hour to use one of the sewing machines – Earl Grey & Rose truly feels like a friendly neighbourhood hub with many local regulars popping in for a cuppa – served in big vintage tea pots – or lunch. The selection of food is great, the artisan breads taste delicious and owner Lydia sure knows how to bake: her rose and lime cake is a must-try!

Earl Grey & Rose is a much needed addition to Streatham and a great place to chat a few hours away with friends or read a good book over a nice cup of coffee.
