Celebrate London Fields Lido at Lido Love

Lido Love is a unique night of art, music, performance and poetry that celebrates the hidden history of the London Fields Lido.

Tank TV will be screening a series of short films in the changing rooms to give you respite from the cold while artist Hilary Powell screens ‘Fleeting’, a dramatic film of an installation with deck chairs made in the empty Lido in 2003.

Hammer and Tongues present a poetry slam with some of the most out-spoken poets of the East End, while small press publisher Helen Slater will be providing take-away poems hidden in secret locations; bijou radio station London Fields Radio will be presenting a live broadcast from the event, interviewing old squatters and campaigners, and headlining the outdoor patio is the one-off reformation of Bon Bon Kaotikai, the original band who used to play in the disused Lido during the squatting years.

Not to mention warming food from the heart at the Lido Cafe.
