Celebrate the 85th anniversary of Miles Davis at jazz show Miles Ahead

On for just two nights only, Miles Ahead is a Jazz dance, music and theatre production to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Jazz legend Miles Davis. The show features Oroh Angiamais, one of the busiest Bass players on the circuit and well worth seeing if given the opportunity. He has taken some huge sessions which include Ben from the Crash Test Dummies, Roachford, Sonique, Ms Dynamite, Talvin Singh, Royal Philharmonic, Courtney Pine and Celloman.

Created by Dollie Henry, recognised as one of the most formidable exponents of jazz dance and theatre dance in Britain, Miles Ahead will feature some of the best musicians of the last decade:

–          Martin Shaw: considered one of the best Jazz trumpet players in the UK.

–          Julian Siegel: an established saxophonist who has won a BBC Jazz Award (2007) and has this year been nominated for the London Jazz Award.

–          Graham Harvey: a world renowned pianist and regular Stevie Wonder collaborator.

–          Nathaniel Facey & Shane Forbes: these two prodigies perform in highly acclaimed Jazz group Empirical, which won Jazz album of the year.

It’s all happening for an exclusive two night run on 16 and 17 September at The Cochrane Theatre, Southampton Row, WC1B 4AP.

Tickets, £20 (£12 concessions). Book now.
