If you fancy escaping the weekend crowds on Columbia Road then there’s no better place than Vintage Heaven. What looks like a fab vintage shop from the outside is actually also a brilliant little cafe serving delicious cakes and hot drinks.
Decked out in full Edwardian decor, including original tiles, the Regency Cafe is an absolute delight of a cafe and greasy spoon. Not surprisingly it’s been featured in plenty of films, including Layer Cake. The food – think Full English, burger and chips or bacon rolls – is perfect to kickstart your day or get over the worst of hangovers.
Established in 1872, Maison Bertaux remains a Soho landmark and the go-to place for anyone with a sweet tooth.
