Last year’s inaugural Vintage at Goodwood Festival– the brainchild of  Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway – was the first major vintage festival in the UK, attracting thousands of visitors. From 29 to 31 July, London’s Southbank Centre – which includes The Royal Festival Hall , The Hayward Gallery , Queen Elizabeth Hall , Purcell Room , The British Film Institute and the Thames Embankment itself  – will be transformed into a vintage wonderland.

All the clubs, bands , fashions, art , and design , film ,shops , vintage retailers , dance lessons , make overs ,workshops that were introduced at Vintage 2010 will be there along with some cool new surprises, all celebrating the music, fashion, film, art, dance and design from the 1920s,30s, 40s 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, that has made Britain the world’s creative and cultural hot bed.

What do you think Londoners, one to look forward to?

  1. Well it was a challenge for Wayne and his team last year this could be an even bigger challenge for them !! Wishing them all the best. Evsie

Brilliant. There is so much going on at the South Bank all the time, but to have this fab event at the beautiful South Bank complex is just the icing on the cake. Forget Camden Market, Covent Garden or Spitalfield Market / Brick Lane – this is the coolest part of London!

  3. Princess Recycle

Brilliant news! The South Bank is the epicentre of culture and I can’t think of a more fitting location for the Festival. Let the countdown begin!!!
