Birds Eye View Festival: silent films and gothic horror

The 7th annual Birds Eye View Film Festival (BEV) launches 8 – 13 March with a groundbreaking  range of films and events taking place around London.

The special focus this year – Bloody Women: From Gothic to Horror –  is on the role of women in the horror genre and includes screenings of early gothic and vampire films,  including live music to silent horror flicks such as The Wind (1928), Dr. Jekyll & Mister Hyde and the first ever surrealist film, The Seashell and the Clergyman (1928).
