A girl's paradise: Annie's Vintage

A girl’s paradise: Annie’s Vintage

One of the few remaining vintage shops in Islington’s Camden Passage, Annie’s Vintage is a firm favourite with the fash pack and celebs – Kate Moss and Pearl Lowe shop there regularly.

And not surprisingly so – Annie’s is packed full of girly lace, bejewelled gloves, Twenties flapper dresses, Thirties bias-cut evening gowns and chiffon nightwear. It’s impossible not to get sucked into the brilliant splendour of so much by-gone glamour on display.

Despite its famous clients, Annie’s – which has a real personable, welcoming feel –  is still fairly affordable (£200 for a mint condition Thirties silk evening dress), and best of all, you are allowed to browse and touch without being interrupted by a snobby shop assistant.

If you’re after 20s or 30s evening or wedding dresses, bedwear or accessories – this is the place to come.

Some really beautiful pieces in Annie’s especially 20’s and 30’s.. I also shop for 40’s and 50’s dresses which people should know about another small boutique – Soho Vintage.
